In fact, many Americans have resigned themselves to pain because they simply feel it’s a normal condition. According to a recent survey by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), close to one in two Americans say pain is part of life, while another 41% believe pain is a standard part of the aging process.   • Experts estimate that over 80% of the population experience back pain in their lives.
  • Every 10 seconds, someone in the U.S. goes to the emergency room complaining of head pain and approximately 1.2 million visits are for acute migraine attacks.
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that over 3% of employed 18-64 year olds report having carpal tunnel syndrome in the past 12 months.
  • CDC reports that approximately 30% of adults experience some type of joint pain during preceding 30 days.

These numbers reveal a true crisis. Society has become reactive rather that proactive in maintaining good health. Maintaining good health means getting checked before a problem surfaces.
